posting pictures of themselves with a specific product. At 3 cents per

"If I had a nickel for every selfie I saw in my Facebook newsfeed, I would be a pretty rich girl". And with Nigerian startup Mobilizr, those selfies could start working for their photographers, if the selfie depicts someone with a specific brand.

company and their way of promoting their brand was by having you (the
guests) upload pictures on instagram hashtagging their brand name? Allow

which someone was willing to get you paid for the likes on your
Facebook and instagram photos, and for the retweets you get on
twitter…think about it. Cool, right? Then let’s introduce you to
Mobilizr.
Mobilizr is a social platform that connects brands with users who can
contribute to brand campaigns by posting brand-related content on the
different social networks and in return, gets these “brand ambassadors”
paid for good engagement!
Mobilizr launched its mobile app in beta in early May and plans to
officially launch at the end of this month. The app allows brands to
reward loyal customers for posting pictures of themselves with their
brands on social media. This sort of advertising could turn the whole
business on its head, as leveraging paying consumers who already use
these products is much cheaper than launching expensive campaigns with
models or celebrities.
For example, with Mobilizr, a brand could ask its
supporters to post a picture of them with their product on Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram or Google+ and the
supporter would then earn money for every like, share, or comment. Users
are paid 3 cents per engagement on their posts through PayPal, or Mobile TopUp which
can really add up for all those #socialmediagurus.
